Muay Thai, which translates to “Thai Boxing”, is the national sport of Thailand. It is a martial art with roots originating from military use dating back to around the 13th century during the time of the Sukhothai Kingdom. Today, Muay Thai is practised and competed not only in Thailand, but also all around the world. RAJADAMNERN STADIUM

For more than 70 years Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium has hosted battles between many of the sport’s greats – both local and international fighters. Established in 1945, it is the oldest and best-known boxing stadium in Thailand. This is one of the best places to enjoy the authentic Muay Thai experience and witness this unique sport at its finest. Tourists can choose to sit ringside to be up close to the action or experience the noise of the crowd by sitting with the local fans. Either way, you can be at the heart of the action and experience an atmosphere to be savoured. LumpinEE STADIUM

Lumpinee Boxing Stadium is a favourite destination for true Muay Thai fans. With a capacity crowd of 5,000, it is extremely popular with tourists seeking a special Thai experience with an awesome atmosphere. Established in 1956, Lumpinee is one of most famous boxing stadiums in Thailand where many leading Muay Thai professionals have achieved cult status to made a name for themselves. The stadium was previously located in the city centre near Lumpini Park (hence the name) before it relocated to a larger site on Ram Intra Road in 2014.
